    Tabanids are targeted by the design of the trap. These include horse flies, deer flies, yellow flies and Green Heads. If other insects end up in the trap bucket it is typically because of their random flight patterns.
  • How can the trap be used for trap and release of horse flies?
    Horse flies are pollinators so if catch and release is desired use no water in the bucket and empty it daily. Release horse flies at least two miles from their trapped location where they can serve as pollinators without afflicting humans or livestock.

Typically this will be an easy task but sometimes subtle factors in a particular location make a big difference in whether horse flies are diverted from their accustomed targets. We accept returns up to thirty days from the purchase date but: You must first contact us by email describing the problem and requesting a Return Merchandise Authorization number Original shipping charges are not refundable Once we receive the returned trap we will inspect it for damage and determine a fair refund value up to 100% of the purchase price You are responsible for return shipping charges and lost merchandise during return shipping You must use the original box and internal packaging and all parts must be undamaged The Return Merchandise Authorization must be attached to the outside of the return box
  • What is your warranty on horse fly traps?
    There is a two year warranty on manufacturing defects from date of purchase.
